Development Update 5: Please Welcome Your Sekai Taikai Competitors!!

I'm still here! Cobra Kai: The Best Around development is still going mostly well. To be honest, progress has been slow because of how busy classes are. I am still confident in a 2025 release, but it's not going to be anytime soon. I've gotten a few things done though that I would like to share with you all.
First up, please welcome our first batch of Sekai Taikai competitors, Furia De Pantera and Dublin Thunder! These two dojos will be filled with non-playable characters. I would also like to confirm a few more dojos. Falchi Della Notte, Tiger Strike, Redentores, and Hornet's Nest at least will be available both in realism and custom mode of the Sekai Taikai.
Realism mode is a mode that takes the exact teams, from the show, and allows you to compete in the Sekai Taikai under their banner. In realism mode, all dojos are playable, so even dojos like Furia De Pantera made up of NPCs can be played in this mode! In contrast, custom mode has custom teams. Dojos like Pantera and Dublin Thunder will stay the same, but teams like Iron Dragons, Cobra Kai, and Miyagi Do will change and randomize according to your custom team. Your team in custom mode can fight under one of 5 banners: Miyagi Do, Cobra Kai (Classic), Cobra Kai (Korea), Eagle Fang, or Iron Dragons.
Tag Team fights are now fully functional, and going into development soon are captain fights. Here's how they'll work:
In captain fights, HP is increased dramatically. There will be somewhere between 15-20 turns (depending on balancing, TBD). Each turn, if you land a hit, that's one point. If you can land 3 unique (meaning, not spamming the same move 3 times), super effective hits in a row, that's a takedown, and that's worth 10 points. Finally, if you manage to deplete your opponent's healthbar, that's worth 20 points and is a KO. As a player, you must choose what playstyle you are going to go for. Will you try to land a lot of safe, accurate shots, or go for the knockout and get the jackpot 20?
I'm open to suggestions on anything. Leave a comment if you have any ideas how other Sekai Taikai events, such as Protect the Captain or Platform fights should go! I'm extremely open to advice on this!
Last thing, we have the Cobra Kai dojo now! It's still somewhat of a work in progress, and I'm open to feedback here too. But having multiple backgrounds is a fun thing for sure. I also did some under the hood optimizations for the game to improve its scalability for all the different modes, and I even added a little adjuster so tall characters get adjusted to have their feet in the right spot! These little details can take a while, which is why this is probably the least progress I've had in a devlog, but, it all goes towards making a better overall game!
Thank you so much for following the development of this game, exciting stuff to come soon!
