Development Update 3: SEKAIIIIII TAIKAIIIIIIIII!!!!

WELCOME TO THE SEKAIIIIIIIII TAKAIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!

My big project over the past few weeks has been the Sekai Taikai Tag Team 6v6 mode, and it has been a CHALLENGE. Tournament mode was hard, but, this mode required fundamental changes to the Battle System that needed to also not ruin the two existing modes. I can say I've made some good progress though! Currently, everything works, it basically works like a Pokemon battle where it's 6v6 and you can either attack or switch on your turn. The catch is, switching is encouraged because your fighters will regenerate in the background (to a limit, they will regain 10 HP for 4 rounds that they spend out, and it pauses if the health is maxed out). So strategic switching is the big key to this mode, which I enjoy!

This mode allows you to pick 6 fighters, but as I tested it, I found myself growing frustrated with all the skins not matching up. So, this mode introduces a new system of skins where along with your 6 selected fighters, you select a dojo to represent, and all of your fighters will wear that gi. Currently, there is Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai, but I plan to expand it to Eagle Fang, Cobra Kai (Korea), Iron Dragons, and maybe more! Please check out the 3 screenshots I've attached to this devlog, these are a good indication of the progress so far. Some real wacky stuff, the role reversal on Sam and Tory is fun! By the way, what do you all think of this Tory skin? I'm 50/50 on her hair, and I need some feedback on it. Also, check out the Cobra Kai Korea Hawk! Being creative with the silver hair was fun! Shorter log than usual, but I wanted to give an update because I have done a lot, and I wanted to share some cool screenshots I took. That's all for now! I should have a longer update before the end of the year that might even have a video attached, stay tuned!
