Development Update 4: Pain Does Not Exist In Gamedev, Does It?

Sorry guys, it has been a while!

There has been a good few things going on in the background. First of all, EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT! Extras are added into the game! The extra system allows me to make both dojos of NPCs (such as Dublin Thunder), or, dojos mixed with named characters and unnamed (Cobra Kai Korea, Iron Dragons, etc). I've attached a photo of one of the extras. Some of the extras, such as the random female Cobra Kai student (Not Tory!) and all of the Iron Dragons are not named for some reason. So I had to be creative! If anyone wants an extra named after them in one of the dojos, let me know and give me a fun reason! 

Also, I had a lot of bug fixing to do. Shoutout to my friend Daniel for catching an insane edge case. Basically, when Axel KOed Robby, and then you swapped in Sam, and then on the very next turn Axel switched, for some reason, the game both tried to let you swap in a character as if your fighter fainted and let you do your next turn. It was INCREDIBLY bizarre and painful to fix, I literally had to do dozens of attempts to replicate it on call with my girlfriend. 

Speaking of her, she also caught a bug, shoutout to her on that! Monique found a bug that when the enemy team all got beat up a bit, they would get stuck switching a lot. I think I've improved that and fixed it too. Great work by both of my wonderful beta testers there!

Also, I have more music in the game! The incredible cm strike audio has some AMAZING synth covers that work perfectly. So far, I've added Let the Games Begin and Miyagi Do Fix Up, and I'll for sure be using more of his stuff. Huge shoutout there too!

Lots more to come! I'm working on tightening up some mechanics and adding more content. I'm designing out captain fights for the Sekai Taikai as well, they should be really fun and a good switchup of how the game works! Also, more dojos like Pantera and Dublin Thunder are in the works for SURE. That's all for now. These edge cases were painful to fix and took a while! More arenas are coming as well, such as the Cobra Kai dojo, LaRusso house, and the school! Until next time!
